This USA Baseball NTIS tryout will be in conjunction with the AAYBA Texas World Series Opening Days. Players will have the option of registering for either the Saturday, June 15th or Saturday, June 22nd NTIS tryout. Players not playing in this tournament, may still register and attend.
Round #1 identification tryouts will be an individual player tryout format. Tryouts will include 60yd run (30yd for younger players), defensive skills, batting practice, home to 1B times, pop times and arm velocities. Pitchers will perform a 12-15 pitch bullpen and if time allows pitchers fielding practice and other team oriented defensive drills. NO LIVE GAMES will occur during these individual player identification tryouts. In addition, NO PLAYER will be allowed to bypass Round #1.
The best players from all local Round #1 tryouts will be selected to participate in a final Round #2 regional tryout. From the Round #2 regional tryout, every region will name 32 athletes from each of the 11U, 12U and 13U age groups, and 36 athletes from each of the 14U, 15U and 16U age groups, to two All-Region teams that will participate in the NTIS Champions Cup at the USA Baseball National Training Complex in Cary, North Carolina during the following dates:
11U & 13U NTIS Champions Cup: August 7-11, 2019
12U & 14U NTIS Champions Cup: August 14-18, 2019
15U & 16U NTIS Champions Cup: August 21-25, 2019
Age Eligibility
- 16U NTIS: born on or after Jan. 1, 2003, for the 2020 17U National Team Development Program
- 15U NTIS: born on or after Jan. 1, 2004, for the 2020 16U National Team Development Program
- 14U NTIS: born on or after Jan. 1, 2005, for the 2020 15U National Team Trials
- 13U NTIS: born on or after Jan. 1, 2006, for the 2020 14U National Team Development Program
-*12U NTIS: born on or after Jan. 1, 2007, for the 2020 13U Athlete Development Program
- 11U NTIS: born on or after Jan. 1, 2008, for the 2020 12U National Team Trials
*12U NTIS to 12U National Team: Beginning in 2019, the 12U NTIS will serve as an identification event for the present year's 12U National Team. USA Baseball regional directors will select 15 12U internationally-age-eligible athletes from each region to compete in the USA Baseball National Open in California (July 2019), where the 12U National Team coaching staff will invite a minimum of 15 athletes to participate in National Team trials.

- 15U & 16U: 60-foot mound, 90-foot bases
- 13U & 14U: 60-foot mound, 90-foot bases*
- 11U & 12U: 51-foot mound, 75-foot bases*
*14U, 13U, 12U and 11U field dimensions may vary at regional tryouts based on local field availability.
Players should bring the following gear to participate:

* Batting Helmet

* Catchers should bring their own catching gear

Informational flyers will be passed out to parents and players explaining the identification tryout process for USA Baseball. All questions will be answered at this time. Cancellation Policy

Cancellations up to 8 days prior to the start of the tryout will receive a 50% refund of the registration fee (excluding processing fees). No exceptions will be made. The participating player will receive their refund within 30 days of the time of cancellation back to the credit card used during registration. Cancellations within 7 days of the start of the tryout will forfeit the entire registration fee. No exceptions will be made.
